Sunday Roasts at Their Best
At Sunday Best, it’s all about the food and music. Our famous Sunday roasts are available between 4pm and 6pm, but be sure to book early as tables fill up fast. Choose from a selection of expertly cooked meats like sirloin of beef, leg of lamb, pork loin, chicken, or pork belly. If you’re vegetarian or just fancy something different, our nut roast is a delicious alternative. Each roast is served with all the trimmings: cauliflower cheese, stuffing, Yorkshire pudding, rich gravy, and a bowl of seasonal vegetables to share.
When booking, select the “Sunday Best” promotion to secure your table. But if you’re just popping in for drinks and to enjoy the music, no need to book!
Local Drinks and a Private Bar
To complement your meal or simply enjoy with friends, discover a variety of local spirits, ales, and wines at our private Stables bar, open until 10pm. We serve a full selection of beers, lagers, wines, spirits, and soft drinks, so there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re into refreshing spritzers or want to try a local Dorset ale, the bar has you covered.
Lovely pub in great country setting… something for everyone. Really good menu in the restaurant and lighter options available from outside kitchen with the addition of street food on the night we were there. Live music on the Friday night was great, hope they keep it on through the winter.

DJing has evolved dramatically since its origins in the 1940s, transforming from a simple way to play records on air to an influential art form. Early radio DJs laid the groundwork, but it wasn’t until the 1970s, when New York pioneers like Kool Herc began mixing records on two turntables, that modern DJing took shape.
The introduction of the Technics SL-1200 turntable in 1972 revolutionised mixing, enabling techniques like beatmatching, scratching, and sampling. DJs became central to Hip Hop culture, shaping the genre through breakbeats and innovative turntablism.
The 80s and 90s saw DJs rise to prominence with electronic dance music, leading to new genres like House music and the rise of superstar DJs, forever changing the musical landscape. Now, we’re bringing a bit of this music culture to The Pear at Parley.
