So Happy To Be Reopening

Following the Government’s announcement, we are delighted to announce we will be officially re-opening our doors to everyone from Monday 6th July 2020.

We have been working hard over the past weeks to implement new health and safety measures to ensure all our customers feel safe and secure when they visit us and have an enjoyable experience. These health and safety measures include:

• Newly installed floor screens in our bar and restaurant area placed around seating, designed to seamlessly fit into our interior décor
• A separate entrance and exit for a one-way system to allow easy movement throughout the bar and restaurant
• Branded face coverings available for our front-of-house staff
• Hand sanitising stations at our entrance
• Lawn circles placed at the edges of our beautiful garden area for customers to sit in
• Additional one-in, one-out toilets situated in the garden

We are proud to announce that, not only are we Semi-Finalists in the BHStars Awards for Best Sunday Roast of the Year, but we have also been surprised with a nomination for Best Pub/Bar of the Year!

The Pear Christmas

It’s the time of year to focus on the things that truly matter – to make those moments with friends & family that bit more special. So, gather your loved ones, sit back and relax next to our roaring log burner over a hearty meal and a Christmas tipple (or two!).

Our chefs have created the most delicious festive menus using the finest ingredients to ensure that your Christmas is full of all the merriment you could wish for.

A wine list carefully selected to complement your meal is available. The Restaurant will be festively decorated and we will be taking Christmas Party Bookings from December 1st to December 24th 2019.

Enjoy a drink and admire the views of 5 acres of green land – no passing traffic, just a variety of birds and maybe the chance of spotting a stray pheasant or even a deer!

Why not try one of our delicious flatbreads from our stone bake oven and relax with a bottle of wine.

Rest assured your little ones are catered for too with our large play area they will be entertained for hours

Something from the bar? Bath Ales Gem is our permanent offering coupled with a changing local guest. A selection of 3 continental lagers and Somerset’s Orchard Pig cider completes our range.  Whatever your taste, we have it covered…

The Pear At Parley

We’re here, the long wait is over, West Parley’s newest dining pub ‘The Pear at Parley’ has arrived, sitting in 5 acres of green land, leading down to the banks of the River Stour, away from the passing traffic of the B3073 where you can relax and enjoy our stunning gardens, listen to the tweet of singing birds or marvel the sight of grazing deer. Built as a family home in the early 1900s, we are surrounded by history, next door to one of Dorset’s Iron Age hillforts.

The Pear at Parley…. where did we get our name??? Did you know in earliest manuscripts Parley is spelt ‘Pirige-Leah’ an Anglo Saxon name meaning ‘Pear Tree Field’ – We’ve got the field, we have trees and now all you need to do is visit the Pear……
